Lady Force Fall Short Saturday

The Lady Force fell behind in their match against Washington Timbers on Saturday 3 times, twice they came back to tie it but were unable to draw level at the end of the game.

It was a back and forth match the whole game, with the Timbers taking the initial lead in just the second minute. The ladies have struggled with giving up early goals lately but they didn't have to wait long before Emily Wilkins stole a ball at the top of the box and tucked it away a short 5 minutes later and we were back where we started.

Twelve minutes after the halftime break the Timbers had the lead again, but again, the Force didn't have to wait too long to bring things back level. Lauren Hudson stealing a ball on the left side and driving a shot into the lower right corner from the top left corner of the penalty box. The Force had the better chances in the remaining 20 minutes, including two separate stints that left everyone wondering how the ball didn't go in the goal. The last laugh would go to the Timbers as they would score in the 89th minute to take a 3-2 lead. The final minutes would be frantic indeed for the team from Vancouver but they managed to hold the Force at bay.

"Crash" with her sister following the match

Hailey "Crash" Parker was named White Claw Hard Seltzer Woman of the Match for her all around efforts on the field. Hailey covered a lot of ground and the majority of the dangerous attacks the Lady Force had, went through her.

The Force held a moment of silence for GHHS Coach Terry Stebner who lost his battle with cancer last week.
