FORCE get "Dizzy"
The Oly-Pen Force are excited to announce that "Dizzy" Daniel Antoniuk is the next Head Coach of the WISL Force Men's Team!
Antoniuk has a resume full of experience both as a coach and as a player. His playing career is highlighted by 9 seasons in the NASL/USL as an outdoor player, and 15 seasons in the MASL as an indoor player including the last 3 with the Tacoma Stars. As a coach he has held director of soccer roles as well as being an Assistant Coach for FC Tucson in the PDL. Currently, Daniel coaches a boy's and girl's high school teams for Kitsap Alliance FC.
This was very important to the club as the Force continue their history of working with the local clubs in all aspects of operations. The Force have had support of numerous coaches, both from Kitsap Alliance and Harbor Premier over the last 5 years and Antoniuk follows that lead with his appointment to the Men's Indoor Team.
"We recognize that this is a really late appointment with the season rapidly approaching." says Force General Manager, Micah McMonagle. "However, replacing a coach like Cash isn't an easy thing to do. A lot of players really like Steve, like playing for him, and he had so much success and was very knowledgeable about the indoor game. It took a while to find the right guy that could combine the experience and knowledge necessary with being a good coach as well, and we think Daniel is the guy."
Antoniuk will have a busy road ahead of him as trials are just a week away, with the preseason tournament only a week after that, but is excited about the opportunity. "I really want to make it work and it's going to be a lot of fun" said Antoniuk after his appointment on Thursday.
FORCE Trials are Sunday, October 27th at 5:30pm with Check in at 5:00pm. You can register here by CLICKING HERE.
